WHY ME?

My expertise in style, trends, and business strategies come from 35+ years in the retail industry. My passion for the ever-changing world of fashion trends and business is what inspired me to pursue a career in retail. But the fulfillment of coaching and watching YOU succeed is what inspired me to pursue my own career as a retail consultant. I merged my two passions — fashion and skilled business strategy — to bring the reality of a successful female business ownership to life.

WHAT’S IT LIKE TO WORK WITH ME?

I have an appetite for life! I am high-energy, passionate, and fun! I believe in putting 110% into everything I do which is reflected in both my personal and professional lives. Whether I’m playing competitive tennis or traveling and hiking with my husband and our dogs, I love living an active lifestyle. Travel is my passion, and I love discovering new places, meeting people, learning about new cultures, and exploring the food and wine of the area.  

 

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

With a Business Degree from San Diego State University, I worked at Nordstrom through college and was identified by leaders in the industry as someone with a talent for tracking trends and successfully targeting consumers’ fashion needs and desires. I have an extensive history with large retail companies, working in Women's, Men's, Kids’, Accessories, and Home. I started as a Salesperson and climbed to General Merchandise Manager in those years until I realized I could do more to bring my expertise and my love of fun and combine them with the goal of helping others reach their fullest professional potential. That is where The Modern Retailer came to life.

I’m eternally grateful for my early career, as it helped me identify the strengths that made me a successful female entrepreneur and have made The Modern Retailer a successful passion business
